Philippine Madrigal Singers Arrive in Lisbon for Philippine National Day Celebration and Terras Sem Sombra Festival

Lisbon, 03 June 2025 – The Philippine Madrigal Singers, one of the country’s premier cultural ambassadors and the Philippines’ most awarded chorale group, have arrived in Lisbon.

Philippine Ambassador to Portugal Paul Raymund P. Cortes, welcomed the internationally-acclaimed choral group upon their arrival at the airport.

The group will be in Portugal from 03 to 09 June 2025 and is set to headline the Philippine Embassy's National Day celebration in Castelo de Vide.

The visit also marks their participation in  the 21st edition of the Portuguese Festival, Terras sem Sombra Festival, where the Philippines is currently the Country Guest of Honor. The concert will be held on 07 June 2025 at 9:30pm at the Igreja Matriz de Castelo de Vide.

The Philippine Embassy is honored to present the Philippine Madrigal Singers to the Portuguese audience, highlighting the richness of Filipino musical heritage and strengthening deeper cultural appreciation between the Filipino and Portuguese communities.
