PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR PAUL RAYMUND P. CORTES PRESENTS THE OPEN COPY OF HIS LETTER OF CREDENCE AS NON-RESIDENT AMBASSADOR TO THE REPUBLIC OF CABO VERDE TO THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, COOPERATION AND REGIONAL INTEGRATION
Philippine Ambassador Paul Raymund P. Cortes presents the open copy of his letter of credence as non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Cabo Verde to Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration, Rui Alberto de Figueiredo Soares, on 26 June 2024 at the Foreign Ministry in Praia, Cabo Verde.
Ambassador Cortes expressed his gratitude to Minister Soares for the opportunity to meet and convey the warm greetings from President Ferdinand Bongbong Romualdez Marcos Jr. and the people of the Philippines to the Minister and the people of Cabo Verde.
During the courtesy call, Ambassador Cortes emphasized the Philippines’ commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties with Cabo Verde through enhanced cooperation in various fields such as trade, tourism, and digital economy exchange.
He commended and acknowledged Cabo Verde’s efforts in technological literacy and digital skills to leverage technologies for fostering internal efficiency, streamlining government procedures, and enhancing public services. He also suggested opportunities for both countries to learn from each other’s experiences and best practices in digital transformation.
Lastly, Ambassador Cortes also conveyed appreciation to Cabo Verde’s support to the Philippines in multilateral institutions. He expressed hope that his visit to Cabo Verde will further strengthen the relations between the Philippines and Cabo Verde, especially in the fields of digital economy, trade, investments, tourism, and sports, as well as fostering multilateral cooperation.
